Planet
Smrk/Swieradow Single track is a unique project in Eastern Europe. It is a wisely developed network of forest paths for cyclists. The process of development and exploitation is strictly based on the rules of preserving wild nature. Each route is a one way direction (except for the green route, which has two directions paths), so that they are very narrow and they don't invade the nature much. Each string crossing is bridged, and bicycles don't damage the natural string banks. All the paths are visibly marked and large information boards educate travelers about local flora and fauna. There are rest areas for those who wish to have a break and eat something. All rubbish must be dumped in bins located there. No single track path covers any walking way. They are safe for both, cyclists and other tourists.
During our trips all the tourists are asked to only use refillable/reusable water containers. No plastic bottled water is provided. All food rations are taken by each cyclist, according to their needs.
All waste has to be dumped in dustbins, located on the route. Travellers are also educated how to keep the route clean, which also includes collecting garbage found on the way. All the rules are valid on both Polish and Czech side of the Single Track.
People
We make an effort to support local community during our trips. Our guest house is a family run facility, renting apartments with a kitchen where our tourists can serve meals for themselves buying products in local shops. We offer one hot meal per day (dinner) which is served in a local restaurant or bar.
The guesthouse is located near the public aqua park which also gives a chance to spend some money locally, refreshing after an exhausting ride.
We encourage tourists to rent bicycles for the ride from the nearby rental services instead of bringing their own equipment. This also helps to keep those rental operators running their business, and motivates them to provide best services.
We also use some help of local mtb professionals. They provide some basic training on mtb techniques so that our tourists can enjoy the ride as effectively as possible.
We also use local bicycle transporters which help to get the tourist quickly and safely to the starting point and return to the guesthouse at the end of a ride.
As far as diversity is concerned, be advised that anyone, regardless race, gender, sexual orientation or nationality, is the most welcome on our tours. We prepare itineraries are in order to create an open and welcoming experience for all travellers.
