Transport:
Public transport is our main mode of transport on the trip, with our travellers taking the train throughout this trip. Whether that is boarding the city subway or travelling between the cities, this helps us keep the carbon footprint low and it's also a fantastic way to live life as a local would and also perhaps mingle with them! There is a lot of walking within the locations where you stop and sometimes from location to location- a relaxing and slower paced visit with a little bit of exercise and keeping your carbon footprint low.

Accommodation:
We stay in locally run hostels and accommodations that are passionate about helping to do as much as they can for the environment. You will stay in hostels and guesthouses. Whilst you’re staying in each of these places, we encourage you to use local services on offer, this way your money goes straight into the local community and economy. Check out the Local Restaurants or Street Food Vendors rather than visiting chains.

Wildlife:
Throughout the trip we ask our travellers treat any wildlife with respect so they do not feel threatened in any way.

Top Tips:
Tap water is not drinkable but we always suggest packing a reusable water bottle that you can use at filtered water refill points to ensure you have water on hand at all times and help minimise the trail of plastic left behind where possible. We also recommend packing as light as possible, to help keep your carbon footprint low.

By hiring local tour guides we help support the local people and provide employment opportunities.

Local experiences:
You’ll learn about the local cuisine by trying out the different restaurants. If you’re in the mood for some relaxing like a local, then definitely check out the hot springs. Just ask our local guide - they will tell you everything a local would do so you can check out the activities and invest in the local community.

We will visits to the local markets, where travellers can purchase handmade goods and street food, directly supporting artisans and the community.

As a sign of respect, we think that it is important for travellers to learn a few key words or phrases in the native language!

All of our customers’ interactions are with local suppliers, and we promote integration between travellers and local people through our “unmissable” included activities and our optional activities, and opportunities for authentic cultural immersion.

Our Adventure Leaders are trained in ensuring that customers are aware of local customs and traditions, educating them on when it is appropriate to take photos and/or videos.
