We don’t cover the cost of flights within our Guarantee or if you need to cancel or change your trip for whatever reason. So, we always strongly recommend that you protect yourself by taking out the best travel insurance you can afford and paying via a means that may include some form of insurance such as a credit card or PayPal.
The holiday providers, who run the trips on our site will, in nearly all cases, have their own financial protection in place which will refund you if they are not able to run your trip because they have gone out of business. Many are based in the UK or EU so must have financial protection in place. This means that there are the mechanisms in place to refund you if they go out of business and are not able to offer you the holiday you booked. In the very unlikely event that it is not possible to get a refund when your holiday provider goes out of business then we will step in and refund you for the cost you paid for your holiday, excluding flights and subject to our terms and conditions.
Here is our advice on travel insurance and although it is rare and hard to find, we recommend that you try and find a policy which includes supplier failure or the ability for you to recover any unrecoverable monies to give you complete peace of mind.
